AKSG reiterate readiness to party Fidelity Bank

Akwa Ibom Government has reiterated its readiness to partner  Fidelity Bank Plc in the areas of  education, health, infrastructure and entertainment.

Governor Godswill Akpabio, who stated this Friday when the Chairman, Board of Directors, Fidelity Bank Plc, Chief (Dr.) Christopher Ezeh paid him a courtesy visit at Governor's Office, Uyo, remarked, " We have been able to turn around the rural areas of the state with about 6,000 projects and we have laid a solid foundation for the educational growth through free, compulsory education in the state.

" We have also transformed the health sector by the building of five specialist hospitals in the state with theaters, among them, specializing in kidney transplant. And we are expecting about 150 medical expatriates to work and reside in the state in order to curb capital flight abroad for treatment, which Fidelity bank can decide to partner on these sectors"., Akpabio noted.

He continued, "The bank can also take interest in the Ibom Tropicana shopping mall that would be completed by July this year.  And the bank can also partner the state in the construction of the Ikot-Ekpene - Aba Roa.  The bank can then look at the various sectors in which they can partner us".

Chief Akpabio, who thanked them for extending their operational services to the state and for choosing the state for their Annual General Meeting, applauded the bank for being solid with a reputation of being reliable.

Speaking earlier, the Chairman, Board of Directors, Fidelity Bank, Dr.  Ezeh said they were in the state for their Annual General Meeting and to partner the state for a sustainable development, disclosing that the bank was a quality and developed bank that is always in the move.

Ezeh, who explained that the bank would provide greater plans for the future, hinted that it their expectation to establish at least 10 branches of the bank in the state, stressing that they are relying on the state government to show and pave a way for them.

The Chairman, who applauded Governor Akpabio for the massive  infrastructural transformation of the state, said Akwa Ibom state is their target.
